I have been into photography from a really young age, I started to build my equipment up at the age of 16 years old.
At 16 I got my Canon 1300D, this
camera is perfect for beginners. I am looking to upgrade to a more professional level camera, however I am not ready to part ways with it just yet. All my images have been shot on this camera. The further I am getting into my photography journey and the more customers i'm getting I am finding myself longing for better quality and bigger pixels.
Do not let my words fool you though I have used this camera for 6 years! It is a reliable, great quality camera and gets the job done.
In my bag I always carry a portable camera battery charger, it is small and slim and can be charged by a USB port. A long with that I carry t
wo extra batteries and a battery that I have already in my camera.
The next important thing is my SD card holder, without this I probably would lose all my SD cards and forget them.
Bringing cloths are a must! these are very important to clear away dust, it is especially important if it's raining.
I also bring my shutter release remote, this comes in handy when shooting long exposures, I do not use this all the time, never the less it's a handy thing to have.
When shooting long exposures especially on brighter days this is when ND filters will come into play. I also use Gradual ND filters.
The lenses that I have is minimal and I
do have ones on my wish list that I would love to have. The first Lens is my Tamrom Telephoto 70 - 300mm lens, I used this lens a lot while shooting on location in Glencoe. The second lens I use is my standard zoom 18 - 55mm lens, this gives us a wider angle than the telephoto lens which is a good lens to have especially when shooting Landscape images. The last lens I have is my Yongnuo 50mm lens. I don't use this lens often shooting landscapes but I have used it in the past and I have created some of my favourite images.
The last thing I always take on my photography outings is my ARTCISE tripod, for years and years I used a much older and much che
aper tripod. That old tripod did the job however it was getting old, stiff and I out grew it, much like my camera I was looking for something more professional. ARTCISE tripod is much stronger and has everything that I was looking for. It is an expensive purchase but in this case you pay for what you get, it was definitely worth it!
The camera bag that I use is my Tamrion Pro, this bag cost around £75, it has a lot of storage for camera equipment. The straps are heavily padded which makes it comfortable for long hikes and when carrying a lot of weight. Located on both sides of the bag are clips where the tripod can be held. I prefer the left side as there is a pocket for support or a water bottle when the tripod isn't attached.
